The holidays at Children’s of Alabama are a very special time and are highlighted by several wonderful events and programs throughout the months of November and December, referred to as Illuminations, Bringing a Season of Light to Children’s of Alabama.

The Illuminations tree program  includes a display of spectacular holiday trees throughout the lobbies of Children’s of Alabama.  These trees are designed by individuals, companies and organizations from throughout the Birmingham area as part of our Illuminations fundraiser, held each year in conjunction with the Children’s of Alabama Illuminations Ball.  The trees brighten the lives of patients, families and visitors for 3 weeks prior to being delivered to each sponsor’s business, residence or favorite charity.  Illuminations marks the beginning of a very special time here at Children’s.  The trees will be on display to the public November 7 – November 29. If you would like to participate as a designer, please visit the tree designer link on this page for further information.

The Children’s Ball gained a brand new look for 2016. The event will take place on Friday, November 10, 2017 at The Club. This year’s black-tie event will feature a silent auction, a live auction and a fabulous dinner. We are looking forward to a night of fun, with the best view in Birmingham!

Season’s Greetings is a unique line of holiday cards created by patients treated at Children’s of Alabama. When you purchase any of the holiday cards in the Season’s Greetings Holiday Card Program, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Children’s of Alabama. You can brighten someone else’s day as well as your own, knowing you have made a difference in the life of a child.
